Tallawalla--Aboriginal for forest country, is perched
on a hilltop overlooking the picturesque town of Dorrigo
and is midway between Sydney and Brisbane.
Located 1 km from town, with elevation of 780 metres,
Tallawalla Retreat is contained on six hectares and
is a perfect place to unwind… no crowds, as we
offer accommodation for only ten visitors. We can
boast that one hectare, close to the homestead is
a warm temperate rain forest and a haven for interesting

The
beauty of Dorrigo and its surrounds is apparent from
the moment you approach. The scenery during the climb
from the Bellingen Valley, passing cascading waterfalls,
rivals that of the Blue Mountains near Sydney and
offers panoramic views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean
towards Coffs Harbour and intervening stretches of
woodland and farms.
